PulsePoint Respond is a 911-connected mobile app that can immediately inform you of emergencies occurring in your community and can request your help when cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is needed nearby. If you’re trained in CPR and are willing to assist in an emergency, the app will alert you if someone near you is having a cardiac emergency and may need CPR.

In addition to nearby “CPR Needed” notifications, you can choose to be notified of other events that may impact you and your family, such as wildland fires, flooding and utility emergencies. You can also monitor live dispatch radio traffic for most PulsePoint-connected communities with a simple tap on the speaker icon.

Pros and cons of PulsePoint Respond app for iPhone and iPad

PulsePoint Respond app good for

Whoever had the idea for this app deserves a medal. The amount of lives it could save means everyone who has training should download it. Even one life saved is with it.
Thanks for the continual attention and improvement. Use the app everyday. New features are appreciated! Love the AED app too.
This is a great and useful app. I really hope it helps boost everyones CPR save rates. Also, its great being able to be alerted to structural fires when traveling in certain places. I have already begun the process of bringing pulse point to my current jurisdiction. I would love to see it in a few more places for both functions. It would be awesome in Philadelphia, Baltimore, New York, Detroit, Boston, and Camden!
When I hear sirens in our area I always go and check this app to see what is happening.
Great app to use especially if your a firefighter. You get the update on the call before it is dispatched
My #1 reason for downloading this is so I will know if there is a threat near my home as quickly as possible so I can have the greatest amount of time to get my horses out. I only have alerts set for fires. I also like that when I see an emergency vehicle go by I can look up and see if there is a medical emergency or a traffic accident.

Some bad moments

For whatever reason I get double notifications of car accidents. I only have the one check marked, so I have no clue whats the issue. I tried contacting them, but they have absolutely no customer service. Until thats fixed, its obnoxious and irritating. Sorry, 1 star.
1) This app has been down for several days. No location of services rendered, accidents or fires. 2) Code 10-55 is inaccurate. 10-55 is a coroners call, not DUI.
This is an excellent source of information! It gives me the ability to see traffic problems I may encounter on my drive so I have the ability to reroute if needed. This is also a great app for responders so they can quickly see where help is needed.
I had been very impressed with how my friend could find out what was happening in his area & warn his wife & neighbors of areas to avoid. But I didnt have a smart phone... This is one of the first Apps that I installed on my Christmas gift from my wife. I really like it a lot.
This app has awesome features to it and is really helpful. The only issue I have with it is that its limited as to where it works. I work and live in Florida and there are only three options for Florida. I would like to see more options for departments
Very informative . I think it would be even better if we could hear whats being said on their radios.
